THURSDAY NIGHT RUN
6pm start. During the winter months, we meet at Wakefield Running Company in Wakefield. During the summer months, we meet in the south parking lot of Narragansett Town Beach. All abilities are welcome.

OCTOBER THROUGH APRIL
Wakefield Running Company, Wakefield RI.

We run on the South County Bike Path for an hour (30 minutes out, turn around, 30 minutes back). Whatever your ability there will be a group of people who you can hang with for the run. Note: the Bike Path is not lit, so we recommend that you wear reflective clothing and a headlamp!

MAY THROUGH SEPTEMBER
Meet at the south-east end of Narragansett Beach (where the seawall meets the beach parking lot). We have several courses measured out between 5 and 8 miles. After the run, we meet back at the beach to re-hydrate. Some of us go to the Mews for dinner and drinks at about 8:00 (after going home for a shower).

OTHER GROUP RUNS

Tuesday Track
In the winter we usually meet at the URI indoor track.  During the summer we meet at an outdoor track, usually the Curtis Corner Middle School track.  As with the long runs, the time and day is variable.  Club members can receive information about the weekly track workouts via e-mail.

Weekend Long Runs
We have no formal meeting time or place for the weekend long run. A group usually meets at Narragansett Town Beach at 7:00am on Saturday, and 7:30am on Sunday during most of the year – please note that from Memorial Day through Labor Day (when beach parking lots are no longer free of charge), we meet at Narragansett Pier Middle School.  There are generally several other options, as well. As a club member, you’ll receive weekly e-mail information regarding the weekend long run, so be sure to sign up for the email list using the instructions at the top of this page.

Newport Sunday Morning Run

We have a strong “over the bridges” representation in the form of members who live on Aquidneck Island (Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth), and often run from the Middletown YMCA on Saturday or Sunday. The Middletown YMCA is also the site of the popular Thanksgiving Day 5-Mile Pie Run. You can get more information about the Pie Run here:  Newport Pie Run
